Offers assessments for children ages 6+ and adults, which give possible reasons someone may be experiencing challenges.  Conducts an evaluation of intellectual and academic abilities, as well as other areas that could be contributing to challenges, such as attention and emotional functioning.  Assists in the identifications of learning disabilities, ADHD, or other diagnoses. Currently Regina office offers both autism and psycho-educational assessments and Saskatoon and Prince Albert offices offer psycho-educational assessments. What is a Psycho-educational Assessment? An investigation into possible reasons someone may be experiencing challenges An evaluation of intellectual and academic abilities, as well as other areas that could be contributing to challenges, such as attention and emotional functioning Can assist in the identifications of learning disabilities, ADHD, or other diagnoses How do I know if an assessment is needed? If you or your child experience any of the following, an assessment may be warranted: Unexplained academic or occupational challenges Challenging behaviours Difficulties with social skills Struggles with emotional regulation Difficulties with planning, organization, impulse control, memory, or task initiation and completion What information does an assessment provide? Areas of strength and areas of need A possible explanation for challenges Practical recommendations for managing challenges at home, school, or the workplace.
