Program
A membership-based drop-in centre for youth ages 16 to 29 who have lived mental health experience. Based on peer support, members can meet friends who have gone through similar experiences and support each other as they find wellness. Programming includes art, meals, education and employment support, camping, music and more. Includes: A peer support group Opportunities to improve social skills without fear of judgment Access to support for education, employment or housing services Assistance setting and reaching goals Physical activities such as yoga or walking group Information and assistance to help develop healthy coping strategies Opportunities to experience new activities or learn a new skill set Assistance with independent living Includes a location in Halifax and a satellite location in Yarmouth. Also offers a wide range of services via the Laing Online platform, which offers accessible mental health support for members across Nova Scotia.
