We are the regulatory body for nursing in our province, responsible for protecting the public by promoting good practice, preventing poor practice, and intervening when practice is unacceptable. We achieve this through: * setting standards for the educational preparation and qualifications * ensuring the safe, ethical and competent nursing care * promotion and enhancement of continuing competence * investigation of complaints and taking disciplinary action when necessary
