Youth Mental Health Services are available in a blend of in person and virtual by secure email, voice, Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) or textCase management for individuals 16 - 24 who live in Barrie and are experiencing serious mental illness and need assistance with things such as finding and maintaining housing, daily living skills, exploration of income supports, and making connections with community resourcesPrograms and workshops for youth between the ages of 12 to 24 topics may include Self-Esteem & Healthy Relationships, Ending Self Harm, Peer Support programs and workshops vary, see website for detailsWalk-in service/in-take service on Mondays from 1 pm-4 pm to help individuals who are looking for information and/or support regarding mental health and addictions staff will be available to discuss individual needs, provide connection to CMHA services, assist with information and referrals to other community services, and answer questions related to mental health and addictionsParent and Caregiver Support on fourth Monday of every month from 6 pm-7:30 pm drop in group for parents or caregivers of youth experiencing mental health issues talk with others about their experiences and get information and supportFor immediate mental health assistance call: Mental Health Crisis Line (Mon-Sun 24 hours): 705-728-5044 or 1-888-893-8333; if your call to the crisis line is answered by an automated service, leave a message and a crisis counsellor will return your call promptly Telecare: 705-726-7922 Kids Help Phone: 1-800-668-6868 or text CONNECT to 686868 to chat
