An anonymous fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics, separate from Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), who share their experience, strength and hope in order to solve their common problems based on the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions adapted from AA nonprofessional, self-supporting, spiritually based, apolitical, and welcoming to all cultures focused on sharing experience, hope, strength, and encouragement, and learning effective ways to cope with common problems and challenges Alateen"s are always welcome to attend Al-Anon meetings if there is not an Alateen meeting nearby
