Community Mental Health Centers & Addiction Treatment & Addiction Counselling

Provides mental health and addictions services for communities of the Weeneebayko region Provides mental health workers/counselors in Attawapiskat, Fort Albany, Kashechewan, Peawanuck, Moosonee and a Psychiatric Clinic Nurse in Moose Factory Offers services of mental health staff including a Regional Clinical Worker, Regional Crisis Intervention/ Early Episode Clinician, Regional Court Worker/Case Manager, Concurrent Disorder Worker, Regional Clinical Team Leader and a Program Director Provides psychiatry services on a regular basis through in-person visits, and via the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) Collaborates closely with other programs and services such as the Traditional Healing Program and Sagashtawao Healing LodgeServices and programs offered include: Addictions and mental health counselling Community support Court support and diversion Early psychosis Follow-up and after care for persons discharged from hospital Intensive case management Management of patients with concurrent diagnoses and mood disorders Public education and awareness Referrals to other agencies/services Self-help initiatives to meet the needs of individuals with a serious/persistent mental illness
