Calgary Youth Addiction Services offers a 6 bed, 14 day live - in Recovery, Stabilization & Detox (RSD) program for youth ages 12 - 18 who are experiencing substance use and / or mental health concerns., , The program provides stabilization and psychosocial services as well as preparation for further treatment and transition planning. It follows a social detox model for substance use. It is a highly intentional process of engaging youth and their families into the next phase of their mental health and/or substance use treatment continuum., , The initial phase focuses on safe withdrawal management, self-care, and the establishment of healthy eating and sleeping patterns. Once the client is feeling well enough, they are encouraged to engage in treatment groups, family visits, and recreation and leisure activities. Treatment groups may include coping strategies, emotional regulation, self-esteem, drug information, relapse prevention, defense mechanisms, stages of change and information on accessing further treatment services., , The program utilizes a short-term intervention model that helps youth to look at their major life areas and explore a longer-term treatment plan with their family/supports. A live-in treatment program for youth struggling with substance use and mental well-being., , Improves the well-being of youth while decreasing the use and harm related to substance use. Offers a rolling intake, by completing an orientation session with each individual and their family. Mental Health counselling for individuals, couples and families., , Provides programs and services for people experiencing mental health issues. Offers short-term Mental Health Counselling (1 to 10 sessions) that include:, , assessing, treating and follow up providing information referring people to other mental wellness services , , Key Provider: doctors, licensed practical nurses (LPNs), mental health therapists, registered nurses (RNs), social workers

Offers outpatient treatment for adults with both psychiatric and addictive disorders. Services include: assessment, treatment and referrals. Care may include individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and couples therapy. Group therapy is a major component of this program.

Provides assessment and treatment of youth with substance use and mental health concerns. Programming involves the family or other people important to the youth.

Offers a non-medical treatment facility for those experiencing problems related to their use of alcohol, drugs, gambling, or sex addiction. Addiction treatment services may include: short-term, outpatient counselling; educational, skill, and support group programs; a four-week, intensive day treatment program for those committed to abstinence; or next business day access to programs following intake.

Medical treatment and counseling are provided and you can choose: medical treatment with no police involvement; medical treatment with police involvement and collection of a sexual assault exam kit ; or medical treatment with no police involvement and collection of a sexual assault exam kit and 1 year to decide if you want to report to the police.

Offers individual and group counselling to people who have experienced a loss and are dealing with grief. All newly registered clients are invited to attend an Education Night information session while waiting to be seen for individual counselling. This Education Night provides attendees with information on grief and loss and an opportunity to hear from our volunteers about their own bereavement experiences.Types of groups include: Loss of Child, Loss of Sibling, Loss of Parent, and Mixed Loss groups to support other types of Losses.
