Provides a 16 week culturally based residential treatment program for First Nations and Inuit male youth, between the ages of 12 – 17 years old, who are experiencing challenges with mental health and addiction. Programming includes: Pre and Post Assessments, Individual and Group Counselling, Academic and Land Based Education, Cultural and Spiritual Teachings, Life Skills, Therapeutic Recreation.

Mental Health Counselling

Registered nurses, doctors and crisis counsellors offer medical treatment, emotional support and education about options for care and reporting for people who have been sexually assaulted in the past 7 days. Medical treatment and counseling are provided and you can choose: medical treatment with no police involvement; medical treatment with police involvement and collection of a sexual assault exam kit ; or medical treatment with no police involvement and collection of a sexual assault exam kit and 1 year to decide if you want to report to the police.

Counselling services focus on: parenting development and skills training related to children and youth anxiety and depression eating disorders hoarding behavior grief and bereavement workplace and personal stress addictions anger and aggression trauma and more. Offers screening, assessment, consultation and treatment for individuals and their families that have mental health concerns.

Offers nine spaces for vulnerable individuals with chronic substance use disorder who would otherwise be houseless or homeless and suffering harms associated with prolonged street level alcohol use. Participants are provided with and administered a medically regulated dose of alcohol at set increments throughout the day. The goal of MAP is to help participants stabilize, gain a sense of community, and improve their quality of life.
