Overeaters Anonymous (OA) – Yukon
Addiction
12-step support group for people in recovery from compulsive eating behaviours such as overeating, undereating, bingeing, and/or purging. Does not promote any particular diet, weight loss, weight gain, or weight maintenance; focus in on physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Meetings are held at 7 pm Tuesdays.

Support Groups
A free six-week group program that provides a supportive environment for mothers with babies up to one year old to share parenting experience and socialize. Sessions are offered three times per year. Serves Whitehorse.
Skookum Jim Friendship Centre
Support Groups
Offers weekly drop-in meetings from 12 pm to 2 pm Wednesdays, to support Aboriginal parents in making healthy choices that give their babies the best possible start; includes lunch and an educational discussion or activity. Provides prenatal and postnatal information and social support, nutritional counselling, breastfeeding support, food/vitamin supplements and vouchers, a lending library and a clothing exchange, community kitchens, and literacy programs. Serves anyone who is pregnant or has an infant up to one year of age.
Teen Parent Centre
Support Groups
Provides support to pregnant teens and teen parents. The education program assists teens to complete high school at F.H. Collins Secondary School or the Individual Learning Centre, or by taking online courses. Provides free daycare for infants and toddlers. Other services include nutrition education, prenatal classes, breastfeeding classes, parenting and child development support, drug and alcohol recovery support, and life skills improvement. Also offers a weekly women"s support group; call for more information. An interview is required for registration with the centre. Funded by Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) as a Canadian Prenatal Nutrition Program (CPNP). Nonprofit organization.
Teslin Tlingit Council First Nation
Mental Health
Offers confidential, professional counselling services to Teslin Tlingit citizens. Counselling covers areas including relationships, workplace communication, depression, addictions, grief, loss, and play-based therapy for children. Specialized counselling in other areas or psychological assessments can be arranged as requested.
Victoria Faulkner Women’s Centre
Mental Health
Assists women to access services and benefits, and to access information needed to make informed choices regarding finance, legal issues, social issues, housing, and employment. Liaises between women, government agencies, and community organizations; supports women in navigating systems; and offers supportive counselling to women facing difficult times. Hours are 9 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday by appointment or drop-in.

Yukon Circle of Change
Support Groups
Supports Yukoners in creating safe spaces and generating social change in their schools and communities. Offers support groups for individuals who have experienced trauma in their lives or who have done harm and wish to change their behaviour.Restorative Community Conferencesprovide organizations with training about a variety of topics related to social change and restorative justice as well as how to implement it in their communities. Programs incorporate Indigenous cultural safety and Elder support. Groups are delivered virtually. Fees are charged for some programs; inquire for more information if funds are a barrier to participation. Funded in part by Yukon Government"s Crime Prevention Victim Services Fund. Provides services to children up to age 19 in temporary or permanent care including assessment, counselling, ongoing planning, and placement in a caring and nurturing environment. Also offers special services and treatment to meet the mental, emotional, and physical needs of these children.

Provides free, anonymous, and confidential telephone assistance for French-speaking individuals in the Yukon who are in need of emotional support. Operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Trained volunteers provide the service. Operated by TAO Tel-Aide Helpline under contract to Yukon Health and Society Services. Funded by Yukon French Language Services Directorate.

Centre hours are 8:30 am to 12 noon and 1 pm to 5 pm Monday to Friday; on call at other times for emergencies.
