Healthy Minds Cooperative (HMC) is Canada"s only mental health cooperative. HMC provides a variety of peer-based services to Nova Scotians with lived experience of mental health and addiction issues -- and to their families -- through community navigation, wellness and recovery workshops and peer support groups. HMC also provides significant and meaningful input into the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of mental health services in Nova Scotia through "Citizen Engagement" opportunities.

No in-person meetings or programs. Programming is available online (on ZOOM). We can also take phone calls, emails, and messages via our social media accounts.

Youth Mental Health
Offers various shelter and housing services which include:
* Two Community Residential Facilities (halfway houses) to help men and women change from prison living to community living
* Two facilities for men and women experiencing homelessness
* Supportive housing program for men and women moving from shelter living to community living
* Community Trustee program for individuals in the community.
We provide a home for people who need somewhere to stay. We offer care to people who can find it nowhere else. We support people who can use a helping hand.

Youth Addictions
Provides Counselling and Therapy for military personnel, veterans, couples, families, adolescents, kids, and adults. Our Psychiatrist has extensive knowledge to primarily treat patients suffering from ADHD and PTSD. We also have a team of Psychologists to provide council and support for anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, and learning disabilities. We have locations in Halifax, Kentville, New Minas, and Greenwood.

Youth Mental Health
Women of all ages are referred to the our organization by officials working in the criminal justice system including lawyers, medical professionals, social workers, social assistance workers, and by community-based organizations and agencies.
We provide assistance to women involved in the criminal justice system and those at risk of coming into conflict with the law.
We provide practical and effective support services for women incarcerated in provincial and federal institutions, and for women in Nova Scotia.

We provide shelter and support to secure housing for homeless persons and offers treatment programs for those who have lost control of their lives to an addiction.
For those who have experienced conflict with the law The Salvation Army provides both residential and community based programs.
