Community Mental Health Centers

A transitional residential program for individuals with a mental illness. This residence has a capacity to accommodate 7 tenants. This residence is staffed by one full time support worker, and several part-time staffers, who provide 8-11 hours of support daily. Provides a combination of affordable housing and ongoing flexible housing supports. Length of program is approximately 6-12 months.

Support Groups

Long term care home licensed by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care with 24-hour nursing care and RN supervision.Services available: recreation and leisure worship services hair salon library sitting areas short stays available foot care services dental hygienist services denturist services secure unit internal and external courtyards dining areas, café, food services under the supervision of a dietitian transportation available for resident outingsCounselling is available to care givers/family members of all residents to provide support, advocacy, education and facilitate communications between the Home and the family. Community Mental Health Centers

Provide training and support services for persons with severe or persistent mental health problems. Training is provided on site in the Garden Cafe and Clerical Units, Transitional and Supported Employment Programs. On the job support is also available.

Addiction Treatment

Provide Methadone maintenance treatment for individuals who are Opiate dependent. Also offers testing and treatment services for Hepatitis C

Crisis lines & Support Groups & Addiction Treatment & Addiction Counselling

Provides crisis intervention services to individuals affected by family violence and suicide Offers immediate on site or telephone assistance Dispatches call to police when deemed necessary Ensures victims receive support and assistance to secure their safety Arranges meeting family members at centre or agreed upon location to discuss possible crisis resolutionsAlso coordinates: Crisis plan to follow in response to suicide intervention, domestic violence intervention and any other form of crisis situations that may arise in community Information sessions and workshops on techniques for healing strategiesSupport ServicesSupports can include but are not limited to: Debriefing and stabilization following crisis situation Advocacy on behalf of individuals and families dealing with various agencies Meal preparation, transportation, homemaking and other areas requiring support for families in crisis situations such as the suicide of a youth Information about/referrals to appropriate resources and services
