Support Groups

A non-profit and charitable organization serving French-speaking women who fight against all forms of violence Supports, accompanies and advocates for the autonomy of all Francophone women who have experienced, are experiencing or are at risk of experiencing gender-based violence Offers a range of services, including: Fem"aide, 24-hour crisis line Individual counseling Support groups Referral to community agencies and services Accompaniment to appointments and various meetings Public education and awareness campaigns

Provides one-on-one support to children of shelter residents, with permission from mothers Assists children to adjust to life in the shelter Provides a variety of support to mothers so that they can better help their children

Offers on-site early intervention and crisis intervention Provides needs assessment, safety planning and referrals to community services Offers enhanced support for vulnerable victims Provides assistance with applications to VQRP+Victim Quick Response Program+ (VQRP+)Provides assistance with emergency expenses related to the eligible incident, including: home safety accommodation meals transportation basic necessities dependent care costs counselling traditional Indigenous health services cellular phones vision care dental care aids for victims with disabilities interpretation services crime scene cleanup government/medical documents funeral expensesAdditional assistance for victims of human trafficking includes: storage locker tattoo removal treatment at a recovery facilityNote: No direct reimbursement to victims for above supportsFinancial support also available for: victims who sustained serious physical injuries during a crime parents of child homicide victims spouses of homicide victims

Operates a community-based social program that provides physical activity as well as mental and social stimulation for individuals living with early to mid-stage Alzheimer"s Disease or dementia, and their care partners Provides a place to establish new friendships, and share stories and laughter with others living with Alzheimer"s or dementia Program offered once per week for eight weeks
