Support Groups

Program is designed to offer a range of social, physical and recreational activities to meet the needs of frail, older adults, individuals with memory impairment and adults with physical disabilities. In addition to providing a safe, supportive environment for clients the program provides caregivers with respite from their caregiving role.

Youth Addictions

Provides counselling and therapy for youth, young adults and adults across Ontario. Appointments are available in person in Toronto, or online across the rest of Ontario.

Addiction Treatment & Addiction Counselling

An outpatient addiction medicine clinic that provides expert assessment, brief counseling, and medication-assisted treatment for a variety of substance use disorders including opioids, alcohol, stimulants, cannabis, smoking cessation, and benzodiazepine tapering guidanceServices are covered by OHIP, and all patients are under the care of doctors with expertise in addiction medicine Offers same day walk-in service, with immediate access to methadone and suboxone programs for opioid addiction, and medication-assisted treatment for addiction involving alcohol or other substances * provides both short-term stabilization and longer-term follow-up care * patients are also connected with addiction counselling and other supports to assist in their recovery * patients are seen via phone or video callCurrent patients are now seeing clinicians from home via phone or video call * clinic continues to accept new referrals and walk-in patients during regular clinic hours * all follow-up appointments can be done using virtual care (by phone or video call)Located within Cornwall Pharmacy

Empowers individuals with Down syndrome to reach their full potential through all stages of life through services that include: * bursary program for therapies and conferences (offer families financial support for therapies, assistive devices, activities or lessons to help children with Down Syndrome, and for parents to attend conferences) * online new parent community (private forum for parents of children with Down Syndrome in Halton) * peer groups (run by volunteers and offer monthly social events, programs and workshops to help develop skills and offers transitional support) * Graduate Group (persons over 21 who have Down syndrome) * family social and networking events * advocacy support * one-on-one reading program * library and developmental resources
