Mental Health Counselling

Offers counselling and support for individuals who have experienced sexual assault/trauma. Children typically engage a variety of age appropriate counselling methods, including but not limited to, body education and awareness, trauma focused therapy, play thereapy, and/or integrative family therapy.

Offers counselling and support for individuals who have experienced sexual assault/trauma. Counsellors travel to various towns and communities in the north east region of Alberta to provide free and confidential counselling services. Upon request, distance counselling sessions to you via teleconference and/or web-based technologies can be provided.

Offers a variety of support services to individuals, families, and young people. Provides programs; recreational activities and events; information; referrals to community resources; family resources including child development, parenting, and family education and support; family general counselling; wellness workshops for youth; life skills education for youth transitioning to independent living, and more.

Youth Addictions

Focuses on improving the communication and relationship between families and educators. Services are delivered by: in-home visits with parent/caregiver in-classroom setting with child It is a partnership between SCEP Centre Early Intervention and Training Services, Eagle Heart Centre and the Ministry of Social Services.

Provides support to families and their children through culturally appropriate, holistic, healing and preventative services. These services include parenting skills, child development, healing issues, addictions and personal skills development with elders involved in all aspects. Program Components include: Family Counselling, Advocacy Cultural Parenting Education Community Referral Intake Parent Support Groups Information and Referrals Life Skills Training (various areas), Drop-in Services Child Abuse Prevention Education Crisis Intervention Emergency Food, Clothing and Transportation.

Offers First Nations individuals a place to share experiences, strengths and hopes with others so that they may solve their common problem and help to recover from alcoholism. The primary purpose is to stay sober and help others achieve sobriety.  Sessions run Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm.

First Nations outreach drug and alcohol treatment providing: Awareness Education Awareness Campaign Home Visits Support Counselling Treatment Referrals Drug Tests Transportation to other treatment centres.

Provides an intensive, seven-week residential treatment program for up to ten individuals. Specializes in trauma and abuse. Individuals have the opportunity to: Develop coping skills Increase knowledge and wisdom to overcome their addictive behaviours and past traumas Learn about the First Nations culture and traditions.

Provides awareness education about the dangers of drugs and alcohol and many other related topics to the youth in a class room setting.
