Provides support and counselling for pregnant and parenting teens that are often balancing completing their high school education and adjusting to being a parent. Works in partnership with Shirley Schneider Support Centre (located at Balfour Collegiate), an in-school program for pregnant and parenting teens. Provides counselling for individuals, youth, couples and families on issues such as:  Relationships   Personal issues  Family Issues  Addictions (assessment/recovery/relapse prevention)  Depression and Anxiety  Domestic Violence – working with abusers and/or victims  First Nations issues  Grief and Loss  Stress Management  Separation/Divorce  Self Esteem  Trauma / post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).  Programs are offered through a sliding-fee scale based on family income. Services provided by professional counsellors who hold education in the counselling and mental health field and who are licensed with a professional regulatory body to provide this service.

Learn about the effects of anxiety and depression and how to build positive coping strategies through facilitator-led discussions, knowledge building and self-directed activities. Continuous intake.
