Youth Addictions
Using Motivational Interviewing, CBT, Brief Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and cultural sensitivity, I work with adults, couples and families experiencing psychosocial difficulties, cross-cultural struggles and mental health crisis. I believe that the key to a successful therapeutic process lies in building a working alliance with each of my clients based on trust, providing a safe space for personal growth and expression.
Counseling is provided to my clients to improve lifestyle habits, to reduce anxiety and depression. Youth Mental Health
The Ombudsman of Ontario is an officer of the Provincial Legislative Assembly, independent from government and political parties. The Ombudsman investigates complaints about services provided by the Government of Ontario and its organizations. He also conducts systemic investigations on important issues about government services, which can affect large numbers of people. The Ombudsman cannot deal with matters regarding federal or municipal governments (except in the case of closed meetings), courts or judges. The Ombudsman is a place of last resort when other approaches to resolve complaints have been tried. The Ombudsman represents neither the government organization or the person complaining. Services are free and confidential. Complaints may be made in writing, by telephone, in person or by fax. No fees. Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Youth Mental Health
The Ombudsman resolves and investigates complaints about any matter concerning children and youth receiving services from Ontario children"s aid societies, foster homes, group homes, secure treatment facilities and youth justice facilities.

Support Groups
COVID19 Service Change: Offered virtually as well as on site with smaller groups of clients. To help adjust for the reduced group size, additional days of service have been introduced to provide more service availability. Continue to follow up with weekly check-in calls for clients who have chosen not to return due to COVID-19 to ensure their well-being. For more information about services and programs, see COVID-19 & ONE CARE HERE Social, recreational and therapeutic activities to support older adults in a group setting for part of the day that helps to support family caregivers who provide day-to-day care. Designed to support and engage seniors who may have difficulty accessing other programs in the community due to physical frailty, disability or chronic illness. Assistance with activities of daily living provided. Activities include morning discussion and coffee, mental aerobic activity, daily exercise program full course noon meal, physical activities (such as bowling, bocce ball) and large and small group activities (such as dominoes, crafts, bingo, or musical entertainment). All games and activities are adapted so every participant is successful. Transportation is available and can be arranged if needed. Note: Tue and Thu in Clinton are stroke specific days and clients throughout Huron County may be eligible to attend.
