Offers program to help community members to increase their physical activity levels and their cardio-vascular health; to become smoke-free; to increase their knowledge of nutrition, healthy eating practices and weight management; and, to enhance the leadership ability of our youth.

In person crisis services

Provides individualized 24 hour emergency service to victims and survivors of sexual assault and/or domestic violence Provides emergency medical assessment and treatment Provides initial emotional and social support as well as ongoing follow-up care by specially trained nursesProvides initial emergency care only with the patient"s informed consent, and may include all or part of the following: Assessment and treatment of injuries Testing/treatment/prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STI) including HIV Emergency contraceptives Reassurance and emotional support Collection of forensic evidence including photographs Risk assessment and safety planning Referral for medical follow-up Referral to appropriate social services agencies Referral to shelter and or other relevant community resources Police involvement, at victims request Storage of forensic evidence for up to six months if the patient is uncertain about involving the authoritiesProvides optional follow-up services accessible through the Sexual Assault/ Domestic Violence Victim Treatment Centre (SA/DVTC) that may include: Reassessment of injuries Further consideration of safety Continuing treatment and monitoring of STIs (including Hepatitis and HIV) Further photographs if indicated Appropriate referrals

Community Mental Health Centers

Functions as a community-based intensive case management program Provides rehabilitation, treatment, and support services to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness Helps individuals to live successfully in the communityServices are provided by a variety of healthcare professionals, including: Nursing Occupational Therapy Peer support specialist Psychiatry and family medicine Psychology Social Work Therapeutic Recreation

Support Groups

Provides supportive clinics to help supplement cancer treatmentsClinics offered include:BLISS (Balancing Life, Intimacy, Sexuality, and Survivorship) Helps patients, their partners, and/or family members with issues related to intimacy and sexuality concernsTransition Clinic Refers medical care back to an individual"s primary care provider once the individual has entered the survivorship stage of their treatmentPalliative, Pain, and Symptom Management Clinic Provides care to clients who are experiencing symptoms that are difficult to resolve Works to improve quality of life for clients

Crisis Intervention

Offers impatient mental health treatment, whose average length of stay is 17 days.

Crisis Intervention

Offers inpatient mental health treatment for children and adolescents. Admissions are typically three to five days in length.

Mental Health Counselling

Program provides specialized medical care for individuals who have been recently sexually assaulted or involved in intimate partner violence. Options are reviewed and services may include; emergency health care; treatment and documentation of injuries; testing for sexually transmitted infections, HIV and pregnancy; forensic evidence collection; crisis counseling; risk assessment and safety planning; nursing support, follow-up and referral.

Support Groups

Seeks to improve the quality of life of Urban Indigenous children Offers traditional teachings and values through one-on-one supportsServices that may be offered, depending on the child"s needs are: Increasing access to culturally appropriate services Addressing self-esteem issues, victimization, and peer pressure Health impacts of poverty, diabetes, and obesity School suspension supports, and access to computers and literacy initiatives Tutoring and mentoring to children with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and/or disabilities

Mental Health Counselling

Offers family and individual counselling services to those experiencing family troubles or mental health issues. Also provides referrals to other services. Works to ensure that the healing and wellness needs of the Indigenous community are addressed by implementing the Indigenous Healing and Wellness Strategy at the local level in order to reduce family violence, promote healthy Lifestyles, culturally based programming and foster healing. Offers extended care services to First Nations youth and young adults who are aging out of foster care.
