Youth Addictions
Many of us face challenges to our wellness, resilience and sense of balance. During difficult times, we may choose to seek professional support to assist in finding our way through. I believe that all people have innate strengths, gifts and creativity, and can benefit from an empathic, curious, and safe therapeutic relationship through which to explore the material of their life.
I work with children, youth or adults and and supervision and clinical consultation to professionals, and offer an initial free phone consultation.
I am trained as a Social Worker (Masters level) and Expressive Arts Therapist and integrate approaches from various schools of thought into my method of working. These influences include contemporary relational psychotherapies, feminist, anti-oppressive, cognitive behavioural, expressive arts, somatic and trauma-focussed approaches informed by interpersonal neurobiology, and mindfulness and other practices and perspectives from a number of spiritual traditions.

Adult Addictions
We understand the hard choices that you have to make in choosing the drug and alcohol rehab centre that suits you best. What sets us apart from most other drug and alcohol rehab centres is our mental health approach. All our Clinical Therapists have a minimum of a Masters level of education. We focus not only on addiction but also the underlying mental health issues associated with addiction. We treat the whole person, not just the addiction.
We help each client find and bring healthy and fitting coping skills into his or her life. We help instill positive actions our client can take when he or she is back in the real world and tempted to drink or use. We also include family and couples therapy. We are committed to helping not only our clients, but also their loved ones.
