Youth Addictions

Provide information and referral to treatment facilities for addictions.

Crisis lines

Provides crisis intervention services to individuals affected by family violence and in any situation where there is a crisis Offers immediate on site or telephone assistance Dispatches call to police when deemed necessary Ensures victims receive support and assistance to secure their safety Arranges meeting family members at centre or agreed upon location to discuss possible crisis resolutions Provides advocacy on behalf of individuals and families dealing with various agencies Provides information and referrals to appropriate resources and services Provides assistance to First Response Team

Support Groups

Promotes the development of good mental health and provides mental health services for youth Provides individual and group mental health counselling for issues such as but not limited to: addictions, anger management, anxiety disorders, depression, family violence, grief and loss Offers treatment services using both traditional and contemporary health care practices Coordinates services of a visiting psychologist Provides educational seminars and workshops to community members about various mental health issues

Youth Addictions

Become Resilient Individuals (BRI) Counselling is a mental health service founded by clinical social worker and psychotherapist Fola Browne, MSW, RSW. Counsellors have experience with a wide range of clients, life challenges, and settings including schools, the child welfare system, social service agencies, hospitals, mental health organizations, and various provincial ministries. Our passion and professional specialty at BRI is working with youth, families and individuals to support positive mental health, overall well-being and success, and effective strategies for coping with challenges and transitions. Our team of Social Workers and psychotherapists work to help people navigate difficulties, build strengths and coping strategies, and emerge from life struggles stronger, wiser, and more resilient than before. Special Services During Pandemics (e.g. COVID/Corona), Disasters and Related Emergencies Services are available virtually across the GTA, both by phone and video.

Operates a 24-hour crisis line for Indigenous women and their children Provides immediate crisis assessment, intervention, referrals and follow-up

Youth Addictions

Provides therapy to adolescents and adults. Areas of specialization include trauma, PTSD, LGBTQ, grief and loss, life transitions. I am out and proud to serve the community in the 905, dedicated to promoting LGBTQ services and trauma services for First Responders and Military/Veterans with PTSD. English/French services available.

Provides free pregnancy tests * pregnancy support and counseling * material support (clothing, diapers, formula, etc) * peer counseling (adoption, parenting, birth coaching) * mom"s support group * dad"s support group * adoption services * community referrals * advocacy

In person crisis services

Provides support to clients and families living in the community or retirement homes * provides a holistic assessment of the person and their responsive behaviours, focusing attention on discovering the causes and the care approach that addresses the reason for the behaviour * develops a care plan collaboratively outlining strategies for care partners to manage the responsive behaviours * connects older adults and their care partners with community supports and needed services * supports clients and caregivers through education and advocacy

Community Mental Health Centers

CV19 Office offering limited access and is trying to maintain continuity of care for primary care clients and will be conducting telephone appointments as much as possible. Office closed at 4:30pm daily - no evening clinics All group programs and activities are suspended until further notice Dental Clinic is closed indefinitely Outreach programs have changed to phone or in-office visits On-site visits are being limited to those that are necessary. Clients will be prescreened on the phone. Adult Addictions
