Addiction Treatment & Addiction Counselling

Offers an inpatient unit, and a number of outpatient programs and services located both in the hospital and off-site. These include community treatment orders, crisis intervention, social work, assertive community treatment, and addiction and problem gambling services.

Community Mental Health Centers

Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) provides treatment, rehabilitation and support services for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness in Sarnia-Lambton who require intensive service to live independently in the community.Individualized services that address mental and physical health, addiction, education, vocation, social development/functioning, activities of daily living and family, and other relationships, are provided to the client in their homes and the community.Using an integrated approach by a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, ACT works with clients to reach their individual goals and lead healthy lives.

In person crisis services & Addiction Treatment

Offers safe, timely and supportive response to victims of sexual assault and domestic violence.A team of doctors and nurses are dedicated to providing comprehensive care for patients who have experienced a recent sexual or domestic assault, 24/7. This service is available to all individuals.

Addiction Treatment

Provide medically assisted treatment using methadone, buprenorphine or Sublocade in addition to other medications as required for those suffering from opioid use disorder (OUD). There are 5 addiction physicians, a nurse/case manager and counselling is available for patients.

Methadone Maintenance Treatment and Suboxone Maintenance Treatment for people with opioid use disorder (OUD) is provided by a team of 5 addiction physicians and a nurse/case manager. Counseling is also available for patients.There is an onsite pharmacy.

Due to COVID-19, all groups and individual appointments have been moved online. Provides support and guidance to anyone struggling with body image issues, disordered eating and eating disorders. Services include: support groups, educational workshops, gentle yoga, support for families and friends, meditation and individual psychotherapy. Also provides an e-classroom where individuals enrolled in the treatment programs or workshops can access, download, and print materials.
