Provides an alternative residential service for men diagnosed with psychiatric illness, behavioural problems, and/or substance abuse. Accommodates 15 men in private rooms with two common washrooms and lounge areas on the main floor. Laundry facilities are provided at no charge. Services include:
Cueing as necessary with hygiene and grooming needs.
Support services such as meals, laundry, housekeeping, special occasion acknowledgment, and banking.
Medication administration and monitoring.
Advocacy with personal issues when needed, collaborating with on-site resource/social worker.
Management of behavioral symptoms associated with long-term psychiatric illness and/or substance abuse.
Assistance with financial management/voluntary trusteeship.
Appointment scheduling if required.
Spiritual care and inter-agency referral.
24 hour a day, 7 days a week staff coverage.
Nursing staff Monday – Thursday day shift.
Regular contact with resident’s community case manager.
Clothing and personal hygiene products as needed and when available.

A transitional residence for teenage girls experiencing risks in their homes or in the community. Residents may be experiencing issues surrounding addictions, abuse, difficulty in school, and/or illegal activities. Their stay is transitional while their Family Services Worker creates a plan for them to return home or move to a long term program in the community. Program provides residents the opportunity to learn life skills in a structured environment such as cooking, planning healthy meals, laundry, and personal hygiene. They also have the opportunity to learn to make healthy choices and how to deal with conflict and crisis situations.

A 10-week educational program that offers families, caregivers and other supports, strategies and tools to better understand and support individuals living with a mental illness. Each evening session features a guest speaker who provides insight into resources available in the community.

Provides evening and weekend recreational activities to meet the needs of individuals living with mental illness who have other daytime commitments. A monthly calendar is circulated that highlights community events and activiities providing clients with a chance to meet friends and be acive in the community.

Assists young adults 16-29 years of age experiencing mental illness or mental illness symptoms in enhancing self-esteem and life skills in a fun and social environment. Offers life skills activities such as cooking a healthy snack, yoga classes, exercise, and social skills followed by a recreational activity.
