HomeBuilders - A support group for children HomeBuilders is a program developed for children facing bereavement, or loss due to divorce or separation. The program utilizes both physical literacy and social-emotional learning to give children healthy coping and emotional processing skills. This program also works alongside parents to provide them with a toolkit of resources, skills, games, and activities to help further their child"s emotional development. HomeBuilders is a preventative program and ensures the mental wellness of the community by helping children and parents develop the skills needed to navigate through the emotions associated with grief, loss, traumatic relational experiences and a new family structure. The coping mechanisms children and parents learn through HomeBuilders serve to prevent serious behavior problems and halt self destructive and relationally destructive emotions and actions in children, parents, family units and/or other relationships.
