Enhance the ability of the individual to interact effectively with their environment
Improve their day-to-day functioning and quality of life by improving their capacity to manage day-to-day issues.
Provides screening, assessment, and therapy services to individuals and groups. Specialized services include psychology, Alternatives to Violence (ATV) for adults who are violent with their partners and the Adult Sex Offenders (SO) program.
Program also advocates good mental health through public education and promotion.

Provides a crucial portion of the evaluation of a child’s cognitive and social skill formation. Addresses common preschool developmental and behavioural problems.
Diagnostic information, intervention strategies, and program recommendations are provided to parents and other health and social service professionals. Guidance and direction is offered to intervention therapists and day care workers. When needed, assistance is provided to school administration and staff to implement special education program provisions so a child can gain early stimulation and focused skill training.

Treatment Centre (30 beds located in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Estevan; 15 beds are dedicated to people recovering from crystal meth addiction, five spaces are available to people seeking treatment for other addictions; four beds are for pre-treatment; and six beds are for post-treatment).
Community support program (transitional housing programs to assist clients in the initial stages of recovery from addition; consists of three two-bedroom apartments in Estevan).

Provides expecting parents and parents of infants and preschoolers with enhanced parenting resources; promotes positive parenting; supports and strengthens families with young children; and works to meet the needs of teens and young mothers.
Parent education programs available:
Baby and Me
A seven session postnatal drop-in parenting program covering topics relevant to the early stages of parenting an infant.
Rhyme Time
An interactive program which provides an opportunity to nurture togetherness through a shared repertoire of rhymes, songs, and stories between a parent and their children aged newborn to three years.
Parent Support Groups
A forum for parents to come together to share advice, information and resources that enable them to strengthen their parenting skills.
Nobody’s Perfect
A program for parents with children 0-5 years of age who lack resources they need to raise healthy, happy, well adjusted children. The program recognizes the importance of enabling and empowering parents to act on their own behalf and that of their children.
Systematic Training for Effective Parenting
This is a lesson based parent education program for parents with children aged 0-5 years which uses a step by step approach to building parenting skills.
1-2-3-4 Parents!
A video based parenting program that teaches the fundamental attitudes and skills necessary for parenting young children aged 1-4 years.
