Youth Addictions
Hello, I"m Zahra, a registered member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and a member of the Ontario Association of Consultations. Psychometrists and Psychotherapists (OACCPP).
I have masters in Clinical Psychology. As an international mental health clinician, I have experience helping individuals and couples from different cultural backgrounds and mental health conditions to deal with various conflicts. Part of my role has been as a facilitator of psycho-educational women groups and immigrants with traumatic experiences who have been stuck in their lives and have had a hard time integrating into the new community.
A combination of my clinical training in various approaches including CBT, ACT, Mindfulness, EFT, Object Relation and attachment theory has helped me develop an integrative approach guiding couples and individuals to identify and address dysfunctional coping strategies in their relationships and to replace them with constructive actions that will best fit their needs and goals.
Couples and individuals with low self-confidence, anxiety and depression, difficulty managing and expressing their emotions will learn to modify and develop their perception of the conflicts and enhance their communication with their significant others and will be empowered to build a long-term secure relationship. Some of the couple issues I work with are marriage consultation, intimacy issues, infidelity, divorce. recovery from an abusive relationship and grief.
I can offer consultation sessions in English and Farsi and I would be glad to walk with you on your journey.
If you"d like to learn more about me please feel free to contact me for a free 15 minute phone or video consultation. I look forward to meeting you!
