Provides a drop-in space for members of the community living with mental illness for various facets and activities from playing cards and board games to having access to a computer to coffee and socializing with others. Resource centre offers support, links to other community resources or a listening ear for someone who needs one. All community members welcome.

Provides expecting parents and parents of infants and preschoolers with enhanced parenting resources; promotes positive parenting; supports and strengthens families with young children; and works to meet the needs of teens and young mothers. Parent education programs available: Baby and Me A seven session postnatal drop-in parenting program covering topics relevant to the early stages of parenting an infant. Rhyme Time An interactive program which provides an opportunity to nurture togetherness through a shared repertoire of rhymes, songs, and stories between a parent and their children aged newborn to three years. Parent Support Groups A forum for parents to come together to share advice, information and resources that enable them to strengthen their parenting skills. Nobody’s Perfect A program for parents with children 0-5 years of age who lack resources they need to raise healthy, happy, well adjusted children. The program recognizes the importance of enabling and empowering parents to act on their own behalf and that of their children. Systematic Training for Effective Parenting This is a lesson based parent education program for parents with children aged 0-5 years which uses a step by step approach to building parenting skills. 1-2-3-4 Parents! A video based parenting program that teaches the fundamental attitudes and skills necessary for parenting young children aged 1-4 years. Information and Outreach Support Working with parents wanting specific information or support. Resource Lending Library Videos, books and articles on parenting young children.

counselling

Provides services to individuals 18 years and older. Program works to: Enhance the ability of the individual to interact effectively with their environment Improve their day-to-day functioning and quality of life by improving their capacity to manage day-to-day issues. Provides screening, assessment, and therapy services to individuals and groups. Specialized services include psychology, Alternatives to Violence (ATV) for adults who are violent with their partners and the Adult Sex Offenders (SO) program.
