COVID-19 Response Due to concerns regarding COVID-19, all programs will be held virtually until further notice. Regular ServiceProvides support, public and professional education, and promotes research to find a cause and cure for Alzheimer disease. Services include: Resource library Early stage support group Speaker program to community agencies and interested groups Family support/self-help groups to ensure caregivers that they are not alone Advanced care planning Memory Café - Support group for people with dementia. Meets twice monthly to discuss latest news and offer support to each other. Contact office for details and to join. Active Living - Combines mental and social stimulation for individuals with early to mid-stage Alzheimer"s disease and other dementias and their care partners. This program is run once a week and offers a great environment to establish new friendships with others who are living with similar experiences. Contact the office for details and to join. Minds in Motion - A community-based social program that incorporates physical activity and mental stimulation for people with early to mid-stage signs of Alzheimer"s disease or other dementias and their care partners. A series of group-format support programs that help family, caregivers, and individuals with memory loss cope with progressive cognitive deficits, dementia, or Alzheimer"s disease. Different groups are offered that focus on topics like coping with responsive behaviours, understanding specific diseases, caring for a parent, grief and loss, and long-term care.
