Provides crisis intervention services to individuals affected by family violence and suicide Offers immediate on site or telephone assistance Dispatches call to police when deemed necessary Ensures victims receive support and assistance to secure their safety Arranges meeting family members at centre or agreed upon location to discuss possible crisis resolutionsAlso coordinates: Crisis plan to follow in response to suicide intervention, domestic violence intervention and any other form of crisis situations that may arise in community Information sessions and workshops on techniques for healing strategiesSupport ServicesSupports can include but are not limited to: Debriefing and stabilization following crisis situation Advocacy on behalf of individuals and families dealing with various agencies Meal preparation, transportation, homemaking and other areas requiring support for families in crisis situations such as the suicide of a youth Information about/referrals to appropriate resources and services

Mental Health Counselling

Offers individual and family general counselling services to those dealing with mental health concerns. Also offers cultural activities, recreational activities, and wellness activities.

Adult Addictions

Psychologist in private practice treating adults only. Areas of focus include occupational stress, mood disorders (bipolar disorder, depression), PTSD, OCD and anxiety disorders. Special Services During Pandemics (e.g. COVID/Corona), Disasters and Related Emergencies Virtual and in person services available

Youth Addictions

Provides private counselling service specializing in: work/life balance, stress solutions, addiction recovery, organizational and business consulting and coaching, personal and work related issues, psychometric testing (vocational/career choices, personality assessments). individual and couples (marriage) counselling. Separation and divorce counselling. self esteem, assertiveness, bereavement, anger management, mid-life issues, and adult children/codependence.

Support Groups & Addiction Treatment & Addiction Counselling

Provides services and support for individuals and families struggling with addiction issues Offers Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings when required Provides transportation to all meetings and workshops upon requestPrevention Provides public seminars/meetings to raise community awareness of problematic alcohol, drug abuse and gambling Holds educational sessions in schools Coordinates cultural and spiritual eventsIntervention Facilitates recreational activities and social events Provides individual and group discussions Offers cultural and spiritual gatheringsAftercare ServicesProvides the following services aimed at preventing alcohol and drug abuse problems from reoccurring: Counselling, sharing circles and support groups Regular phone calls and home visits Referrals to Band services, social services, detoxification and treatment centres and medical assistance

Crisis lines & Support Groups

Offers a 20 bed shelter for women and their children Maintains 11 bedrooms including two larger bedrooms and an accessible bedroom Offers a laundry room, a kitchen, a playroom, and a dining room Provides support and crisis counselling as well as safety planning Assists women with searching for housing Provides emergency transportation if needed to get an individual safely to the shelter for admission

Mental Health Counselling

Offers a coordinated, community-based response to suicide and family violence to First Nations individuals. Services include: Suicide prevention and intervention; Crisis intervention; peer support or certified counselling; Referrals to counselling and treatment programs; coordination of transportation; and community training activities. Offers extended care services to First Nations youth and young adults who are aging out of foster care.

Addiction Treatment & Addiction Counselling

Offers culturally sensitive services to address drug and alcohol issues and to prevent or minimize the negative effects of addictive substances Provides individual and group addictions counselling sessions Provides drug and alcohol assessments Offers individual information, education and needed support as identified through assessment to initiate life changes for recovery Provides referrals to treatment centres and programs Promotes healthy lifestyles and alternatives to alcohol, drugs and solvents Coordinates a free needle exchange program Offers public education seminars and workshops, primarily in schoolsAddictions treatment services and programs include: Talking circles Sweats Traditional teachings Referrals to healing lodgesAftercare services: Assistance in locating and/or attending AA, Alateen or Alanon groups Individual ongoing addictions counselling sessions

In person crisis services

Assists community members with the following legal matters: Criminal Law if custody is probable Family Law Child WelfareNote: Does not help with civil law, employment law, human rights, housing, or social assistance (contact a Community Legal Worker (CLW) for a referral)

Mental Health Counselling

Offers a program for men to speak out against abuse towards women. This program provides education for men to address issues of abuse, peer counselling, justice support, traditional teachings, and support to men who choose not to use violence. Offers extended care services to First Nations youth and young adults who are aging out of foster care.

Mental Health Counselling

Offers group counselling for individuals who have been charged as a result of violence towards their intimate partners. Also offers support to victims of intimate partner violence.

Addiction Treatment & Addiction Counselling

A partnership with Noah"s Ark located at Exeter Pentecostal Church - a welcoming place offering basic needs such as light meals, shower, washroom and laundry facilities. Partners with numerous agencies to offer support to local people in need to access important services and supports under one roof. Plans for a community garden, collective kitchen programs and early years programming to break down barriers and develop relationships between community members.
