We are a children’s mental health centre providing a range of compassionate, innovative and accessible services for children, youth and their families. We offer a range of services not limited to: * individual, family and group counselling * parenting groups and programs * outreach services to adolescents * school based services * residential treatment programs Programs also offered at sites outside of Barrie in Alliston; Bradford; Collingwood; Cookstown; Midland; Orillia.

Mental Health Counselling

Provides assistance to women who have experienced abuse/violence and are looking to make a new start. Offers individual abuse and sexual assault counselling and support with accessing and maintaining housing; developing a safety plan; accessing financial assistance programs, and education upgrading. Also provides emergency clothing, supportive counselling, and information to women who have experienced assault.

Community Mental Health Centers

82 Bed residence with 24 hour support and supervision for vulnerable adults with physical or cognitive impairments.Supports and amenities include: Transportation and support for medical and dental appointments Family Physician visit on site weekly Certified PSW on site Registered Nurse(RN) for medical needs & medication Activity and/or outing daily accompanied by the Quality Of Life Coordinator CAMH on-site weekly for the Exercise Program and/or Arts and Crafts

Youth Addictions

Since 1984, Nexus Youth Services has offered counselling services to teenagers and young adults like you, ages 14 to 24, who live in the Region of Peel in Ontario, Canada. This region includes the City of Mississauga, the City of Brampton and the Town of Caledon. Art Therapy services in Toronto, Ontario. Special Services During Pandemics (e.g. COVID/Corona), Disasters and Related Emergencies Individual art therapy services are available both online and in person

Addiction Treatment

Operates a residential (4-week) and out-patient alcohol and drug treatment program Treats the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of those affected by the abuse of alcohol and drugs Assists individuals to develop the skills to deal with the effects of substance abuse Assists individuals, families and the community to understand the impact that alcohol and drugs have on their lives through a public information system Works with youth to develop problem solving and social skills as well as culturally related self-esteem goals in order to assist them in living a drug free life Enhances the understanding of the community of the way in which traditional values and beliefs can help build a healthy family and a stronger community Encourages individuals, agencies and community groups to actively work together to define and implement programs in the community which lead to healthier families and communities Encourages the continued health of individuals through creation of an after-care and follow-up program

Long term care home licensed by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care with 24-hour nursing care and RN supervision.Services available: recreation crafts worship services hair salon library sitting areas adult day service dining areas, café, food services under the supervision of a dietitian transportation available for resident outingsCaregiver support for family members of residents who are cognitively impaired is available. The home facilitates communications between the home and family through newsletters, communication boards and meetings with families. Contact the Resident and Family Support Worker for further information.

Long term care home licensed by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care with 24-hour nursing care and RN supervision. Services available: recreation rehabilitation worship services hair salon sitting areas adult day service dining areas, café transportation available for resident outings and adult day service Montessori programming for residents with cognitive impairmentsSupport available for family members of residents that provide support, advocacy, educational opportunities and facilitate communications between the home and family.

Support Groups

A ground level long-term care home connected to the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital.Long term Care home licensed by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care with 24-hour nursing care and RN supervision. Services available: recreation crafts worship services hair salon library sitting areas dining areas, café, food services under the supervision of a dietitian transportation available for resident outingsSupportive housing units offered on site which allows couples needing different levels of care the opportunity to live together in the same location.Support groups for family members of residents who are cognitively impaired that provide support, advocacy, educational opportunities and facilitate communication between the home and family.
