Support Groups
OPACC is comprised of representatives from parent groups, parents, guardians, survivors, or close relatives of a child or teen diagnosed with childhood cancer in Ontario OPACC"s goal is to be the parent voice for families with children diagnosed with cancer across the Province of Ontario supports the establishment of new community-based parent support groups throughout the Province and the strengthening of existing groups advocates for issues of importance to childhood cancer families offering in-person and virtual support services, for more information see website Parent Liaison program offers trained parent facilitators, and parents of a child who has had cancer, that meet with parents and families and help to address fears or concerns that they may have (non-medical advice) offered at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga run weekly drop-in support groups, provide informational materials and resources, and distribute free items offer financial assistance such as hospital parking program and distribution of gift cards for gas and groceries to registered childhood cancer families distribute meal vouchers for families at Hospital for Sick Children

Youth Mental Health
The Ontario Poison Centre in Toronto has been serving the general public and healthcare professionals throughout Ontario since 1979. Although the Poison Centre is located at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), our clientele includes both children and adults. The primary role of the Poison Centre is to provide telephone information and advice about potential or real exposures to poisonous substances.
In addition to its primary role, the Poison Centre also collects information on poisoning cases, generates and distributes poison prevention material, and participates in medical toxicology research.
