COVID-19 ResponseDue to the pandemic, meetings have been suspended until further notice. Resources and assistance may still be available. Contact for information. Regular Service Networking group for local families through meetings such as coffee chats and get togethers in the parks or other community locations. Also offer monthly information sessions during school year to help support parents and the community. Sessions provide guest speakers and support with issues and topics including: Autism parenting challenges and tips developmental issues information regarding after school care and summer camp programs assistance with filling out forms, assessments and other tasks

Mental Health Counselling & Mental Health Treatment Services

Offers virtual mental health services using telecommunications (video conferencing, online chat, or phone calls) for individuals experiencing anxiety. Services include telephone coaching and support, access to resources, and weekly exercises.

Youth Addictions

The Substance Use and Concurrent Disorders Program at the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre (ROMHC) offers various services for treating addiction with a concurrent mental illness, including assessment, as well as outpatient, inpatient and residential treatment programs for adults (over age 16).

Support Groups

Strives to create more inclusive and safer communities for transgender people across Northeastern Ontario and create a better understanding of the challenges that exist when coming out, and transitioning in Northern OntarioProtects the rights of transgender people independent of where they are along their gender journey by providing: Education: Providing workshops and education for organizations, service providers, agencies, schools and businesses that are seeking to develop Trans Inclusive policies Direct Client Services: Providing individual, group, family and partner support for gender questioning or transgender people of all ages including doctor referrals, peer support, family sessions, supportive accompaniment to appointments, advocacy, assistance navigating transition related paperwork, and much more. Offers on-site early intervention and crisis intervention Provides needs assessment, safety planning and referrals to community services Offers enhanced support for vulnerable victims Provides assistance with applications to VQRP+Victim Quick Response Program+ (VQRP+)Provides assistance with emergency expenses related to the eligible incident, including: home safety accommodation meals transportation basic necessities dependent care costs counselling traditional Indigenous health services cellular phones vision care dental care aids for victims with disabilities interpretation services crime scene cleanup government/medical documents funeral expensesAdditional assistance for victims of human trafficking includes: storage locker tattoo removal treatment at a recovery facilityNote: No direct reimbursement to victims for above supportsFinancial support also available for: victims who sustained serious physical injuries during a crime parents of child homicide victims spouses of homicide victims

Community Mental Health Centers
