Centre for Innovation in Peer Support at Support House supports are offered in a virtual setting in direct response to physical distancing measures implemented to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
The Centre’s virtual services and programs include:
Online Peer-led Support Groups:
Social Connections – no registration required, open to anyone 16+ in Ontario. These groups are offering opportunities to connect socially over a virtual platform. Topics include: Lit Grit, Creative Writing, The Sharing Circle and The Games Room.
Self-Help Drop-In – require a brief pre-registration for participation, open to anyone 16+ in Ontario. Explore in a safe, judgement free environment and develop wellness tools. Groups include: Well BEing, Navigating Stress & Anxiety We Matter, and Daily Wellness Planning.

Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Disorder (FASD) support for parents helping parents project * a phone support resource provided by Parent Mentors (parents and caregivers of children, youth and adults affected by FASD) prepared to listen to and support and share personal coping strategies with other parents and caregiver of individuals affected by FASD * as

Support Groups
A support group for stroke survivors of all ages and their caregivers, family members and friends. General meetings are usually two hours long. Guest speakers are often part of the first hour, providing information on a variety of topics.During the second hour of the meeting, stroke survivors and caregivers separate into two groups. These separate sessions allow each group to share their thoughts and provide support.
