Support Groups & Addiction Treatment

A community-based recovery program for those with a substance use issue who are ready to begin steps towards moderation or abstaining from use. The Windsor Team Care Centre, in collaboration with Windsor Pride Community, offers a specially tailored OTR program for the 2SLGBTQ+ community. This program has been designed through an affirmative care lens using a trauma informed approach and aims to provide a safe space for the 2SLGBTQ+ community to participate in and received dedicated outpatient care for substance use.

Community Mental Health Centers

Provides acute services which include emergency psychiatric assessments through the Emergency Department, admission into a 60-bed acute mental health program, or admission into the 8-bed Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit.

Services are provided by a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Compassionate, professional response available 24 hours a day through Windsor Regional Hospital - Emergency Room

Youth Addictions

The Withdrawal Management Centre (aka Detox Centre) provides help with withdrawal from addictions such as alcohol.   Detox residence Provides some sanitary products (toothbrush) Voluntary participation These services are now offered through the Cornwall Community Hospital (2nd Street Site).
