Youth Mental Health
Provides a broad range of mental health, legal, parenting, and abuse support programs geared at boys, men, fathers and their families.
* Therapy & Counselling Focused on Men and their Families
We cover a range of individual and family issues, including depression, anxiety, relationship problems, separation/divorce, social isolation, self-esteem, abuse and trauma. We also provide couples and group approaches to counselling that involve the partner, ex-partner or other members of the individual’s family and friends.
* Men’s Peer Support Group
A safe space for fathers, boys and men of all ages to discuss difficulties or hardships. Issues include family break-up, loss of a loved one, employment challenges or abuse and trauma. The program combines emotional support with practical information and resources.
* Men’s Legal Assistance Clinic & Legal Resource Centre
The clinic helps men overcome legal problems that disproportionately affect males and addresses areas where men may face unique challenges. We cover family, criminal, human rights, employment and immigration law, among other areas. Our lawyers provide resources, tools and info in group and individual settings.
* Fathering After Separation or Divorce
Fathering After Separation or Divorce is an 8-week program that provides a broad range of knowledge, resources and skills with a curriculum built for fathers looking to maintain a strong relationship with their child or children following family break-up.
* Family Shelter for Men and Children
Toronto’s first Family Shelter for Men and Children is a unique facility for single men as well as fathers and children, who are escaping domestic abuse and family violence. The residence is available to all male-identified individuals and their dependents. We provide in-house emergency case management, trauma counselling, support groups, legal assistance, food and clothing, and agency referrals for additional resources.
* Support services and for male victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and all forms of trauma.
Support is offered both in group settings and one-on-one. If you are in danger, we can refer you to Toronto shelters that are working in partnership with us. We also provide a variety of goods and products that may be of assistance to you if you are fleeing a dangerous situation at home.
* Mindfulness Meditation for Men
Workshops in breathing, relaxation and awareness.
* Survivors of False Allegations
We provide supports for those who have been falsely accused or wrongfully convicted, and to their families.
* Employment Resource Consultation
Resumé critique and building, interview preparation and general unemployment supportive assistance. We identify barriers to employment and assist through education, awareness and goal setting.
