counselling

A drop-in, first-come, first-serve shelter facility to aide those in need of temporary shelter with a 50 bed capacity on the main floor and 25 bed capacity on the second floor for families (parents with children). Individuals are assessed on a case by case basis. Belongings are stored safely. Peacekeepers are on-site 24-7. Drugs and alcohol cannot be consumed inside the Wellness Centre or on the property. Includes the following services: Three meals per day and snacks with fridges and microwaves, Free laundry services, Smudging Room, Knowledge Keepers and Elders available, Mental health and addictions counselling available using the medicine wheel as the framework, Life-skills opportunities will be integrated into the housing plan.

Provides evidence-based harm reduction programming. Includes:   Clean injection and inhalation equipment, Drop off for used injection and inhalation equipment, Naloxone Kit distribution, Safe sex supplies, Fentanyl and benzodiazepine drug test kits, Harm reduction/infectious disease/safe sex education and resources, Needle pick up, Outreach services, Assistance to connect to internal and external support services.

Provide support for accessing detox and treatment services, crisis intervention, addiction counselling, and cultural support.

Offers group out-patient counseling by professionals and support services for Children and Youth dealing with addictions.

Provides a 42-day program and services for specialized addictions treatment such as alcohol, drugs, and/or inhalants. Program offers psychoeducational, therapeutic and recreational groups with individual follow-up based on client need. Goal is to reduce the risk of relapse while managing recovery through achieving healthy, balanced lifestyles. Equips with tools and strategies to help overcome addiction and past trauma from a First Nations perspective. Please call 306-542-4110 to book transportation to/from programming.

Mental Health Counselling

This program is a interpsonal vioelnce support group where fellow survivors are able to connect and share their experiences for free. Meetings take place everyh Thursday in the afternoons (childcare is provided) and in the evening (adults only).
