Provides counselling and therapy for adults facing challenges at various stages in the life cycle.

Crisis lines

The shelter offers temporary accommodations for women and their children who are seeking shelter from abusive relationships. Various forms of abuse are acknowledged (ie: physical, emotional, sexual, verbal, etc) Counselling is available to both women and children throughout their stay. Provides intensive services to the severely mentally ill people comprehensive assessment (psychosocial, psychiatric) and treatment planning psychiatric consultation individual and group therapy multidisciplinary staffing case management chronic clinics (outreach services and medication monitoring clinics) for the hard-to-serve psychiatric population

Addiction Treatment & Addiction Counselling

Assistance with voluntary withdrawal from alcohol and/or other drugs individuals may be accessed individually or in groups during day program, at their home or any other safe and supportive setting provides care with or without the aid of drug therapy and other medical interventions discharge planning and early recovery education

Youth Addictions

Child and Youth Counselling Services (CYCS) is a community based mental health program sponsored by the Cornwall Community Hospital which provides assessment, therapy, support, counselling and consultation for children and youth. CYCS has a well-trained, multidisciplinary team of professionals who provide services predominantly in English. Services are provided at no cost. Services include: Core counselling program / office-based services such as therapy, counselling and support Early Years Program (working with parents who have children from the ages of 0 to 6 to promote healthy attachment) Intensive Support Services (home based counselling and support program for children, youth, and families) Tapp-C arson prevention program Outreach Program/school based service Eligibility: children and youth (aged 0-18) who are experiencing psychological, behavioural or emotional difficulties. Referrals: simply contact CYCS to make a referral.
