We are an agency that refers people in need of addiction help to the proper facilities or services. We cover all over Canada. We have been in operation for 7 years now. We have counselors answering the phone 16 hours a day. Our services are free of charges.

Support Groups

Operates a mutual support group for injured workers and their familiesProvides the following Injured Worker Outreach Services (IWOS): Offers advice and assistance on how to handle injured worker claims Provides information about the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) policies and procedures Provides peer support and counselling Advises workers about other agencies that offer help to injured workers Participates in law reform to improve the system Provides public education about the needs and problems of injured workers and workers compensation issuesAlso coordinates meetings in Ear Falls upon request

Support Groups

Offers a diabetes management centre to assist individuals in understanding and managing their illnessServices offered: Diabetic screening and blood glucose monitoring Pre-diabetes clinics Prevention and awareness programs Meal planning Stress management and counselling Education about diabetes (insulin, glucose and nutrition) Promotion in understanding diabetes management and self care (type of diabetes and relationship between nutrition, exercise, medications and stress)Program services are provided through: Individual sessions Group sessions Health promotion activities Walk-in clinic once per week Seminars, workshops and community awareness events

Mental Health Counselling

Offers programming to improve Indigenous health and reduce family violence. The delivery of programs and services are culturally appropriate and address the prevention, aftercare and concurrent impacts of family violence on health. Services include: healing circles, peer counselling, crisis intervention, education, and training. Offers extended care services to First Nations youth and young adults who are aging out of foster care.

This program provides education for men to address issues of abuse, peer counselling, justice support, traditional teachings, and support to men who choose not to use violence. Provides confidential emergency and follow-up care to individuals who have been sexually assaulted or are the victims or survivors of intimate partner abuseProvides the following supports: Supportive crisis counselling Physical assessment and examination Documentation of injuries Collection of forensic evidence Testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections and/or pregnancy at client"s choice Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) post-exposure prophylaxis

In person crisis services & Support Groups & Crisis lines

Provides immediate crisis response services and counselling to children, youth and their families who are feeling suicidal, hopeless, unable to deal with things, frightened, alone, overwhelmed and out of control. Services include: Talk-In Clinic - walk in counselling for immediate problem solving, therapeutic conversations, information and support Talk-in Clinic: Wed 1 pm-7 pm crisis intervention and support individual and family counselling education and support groups sexual abuse treatment links to other DCAFS services and referrals to community services after hours, in-home and office appointments can be arrangedFor all programs contact office or visit website.Calls made to office after hours, weekends and on holidays will be answered by 24hr answering service.
