Community Mental Health Centers & In person crisis services

Windsor C.O.A.S.T (Community Outreach and Support Team) is a partnership between Windsor Police Services and the Community Crisis Centre at Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare. This program has been put in place to address the gap in the continuum of existing crisis services. Windsor C.O.A.S.T. provides an integrated community based response to individuals residing in the city of Windsor who are marginalized and vulnerable with complex mental health / substance use needs and are in distress. Often these individuals who have frequent contact with police and hospital emergenecy services. The objective of the C.O.A.S.T. is to provide on-site mental health crisis assessments in order to facilitate access to community supports and services.

The Regional Children"s Centre is an accredited children"s mental health centre working in collaboration with children, youth, and their families who are experiencing mental health and/or developmental concerns. We offer a variety of programs and services that are flexible and designed to meet the individual needs of each child and family. Residential Service features a 20 bed, co-located men and women"s facility for persons recovering from the effects of alcohol and/or drug withdrawal or are awaiting entry into an addictions treatment program.

Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare’s (HDGH) Community Crisis Centre of Windsor-Essex County works in partnership with community social agencies to provide crisis response services to individuals 16 years of age and older who are experiencing an acute mental illness and/or psychosocial crisis. Goals The mission of the Community Crisis Centre is to provide intervention services 24 hours a day, seven days a week to individuals who require immediate assessment, psychosocial intervention, medical intervention, and support. Youth Addictions

Facilitates community reintegration for people living with mental illness or concurrent disorders by offering housing supports in order to prevent homelessness. Responds to the needs of those who are homeless and those at-risk of becoming homeless, through its partnerships with other organizations in the field of housing support and through its various housing initiatives in the City of Ottawa and in the United Counties of Prescott and Russell. Participates actively in the implementation of a range of services through its community development and research initiatives.
