Focus is to improve a child/youth"s self-esteem and emotional regulation by helping them understand the feelings they are experiencing and developing effective coping strategies

possible diagnosis/query: ADHD, ADD, Anxiety, OCD, LD, Depression
parent/caregivers are encouraged to attend the Family Support Program which offers support and skills building including information and strategies to work with their child"s social/emotional and behavioural challenges; and effective ways of connecting with the school system
Group Therapy: School-Focused Treatment and Counselling
For clients/youth between Grade 1 and Grade 8 who are experiencing significant and pervasive emotional, social or behavioural needs that are impacting the school setting despite in-school supports
locations: Halton Hills, Milton and Burlington
children/youth attend once a week, 12 noon-2:30 pm
possible diagnosis/query: ADHD, ADD, Anxiety, OCD, LD, Depression
program requires partnership and collaboration with the school and the family starting at the referral level and throughout treatment

Youth Addictions
Individual Counselling: I support individuals dealing with challenges such as anxiety, addictions, anger management, depression, divorce/separation, eating disorders, gender identity, low self-esteem, loneliness, teenage issues and other life stressors.
Couples Counselling: I assist couples struggling with affairs, communication difficulties, family pressures, intimacy issues, inter-racial challenges, those who are contemplating separation or divorce and other relationship conflicts.
Family Counselling: I help families who are struggling with cultural changes, extended/blended family issues, life transitions, parenting concerns and other familial relationship conflicts.
Post Traumatic Stress/Trauma: I support people dealing with abuse, childhood trauma, domestic violence, first responder and veteran challenges, grief, motor vehicle collisions, sudden deaths, suicide, sexual assault, tragic accidents and workplace incidents.

Youth Addictions

The Royal and the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) have partnered to form the Children and Youth – Specialized Psychiatric and Mental Health Services program (CY-SPMHS). Admittance to this program requires a doctor"s referral. To refer to this program, contact central Intake (at the Children"s Hospital of Eastern Ontario) at 613-737-7600, ext. 2360.
All adult programs at The Royal, with the exception of the Substance Abuse Program require a doctor"s referral. Refer to The Royal"s website (www.theroyal.ca) for referral processes for each program.
