Youth Addictions

Experienced Registered Psychotherapist & registered mental health provider for Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), RCMP, Canadian Armed Forces & IRCC. Offices in Toronto & Stratford and serving clients across Canada online & by telephone. Providing long-term psychotherapy and brief goal-oriented counselling within a caring and supportive person-centred approach. I create a unique plan for therapy with each client that takes every person"s needs into consideration and may involve the integration of a variety of approaches and tools such as Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Trauma-focused Therapy (Empowerment & Resilience Model), Emotionally-Focused Individual Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy or an emphasis on attachment healing. Other areas of expertise include trauma-informed hoarding support, parenting (for parents & guardians of teens and young adults) and inter-generational trauma. My work is founded on anti-oppression and anti-racism principles and I welcome everyone with a desire for change and healing. Special Services During Pandemics (e.g. COVID/Corona), Disasters and Related Emergencies Serving Canadians across the country through remote appointments either in online or telephone appointments. Hospital that specializes in wide range of mental health services including: * inpatient and outpatient services for youth and adults * specialized mental health programs such as mood and anxiety disorders program, schizophrenia program, geriatric psychiatry (mental health for older adults), substance abuse and concurrent disorders program, Operational Stress Injury Clinic, etc. (see a full list at www.theroyal.ca) * psychiatric rehabilitation. The Royal and the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) have partnered to form the Children and Youth – Specialized Psychiatric and Mental Health Services program (CY-SPMHS). Admittance to this program requires a doctor"s referral. To refer to this program, contact central Intake (at the Children"s Hospital of Eastern Ontario) at 613-737-7600, ext. 2360. All adult programs at The Royal, with the exception of the Substance Abuse Program require a doctor"s referral.
