Support Groups

Helps, supports, and gives hope to families and friends that have lived with or are living with a sex addiction. S-Anon is based on the principals of the 12 steps and 12 traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous. The group is peer-led.

Crisis lines

Addiction Treatment

Functions as an alcohol and drug addictions treatment centre Offers a 12-bed residential treatment facility Provides a 3-week family healing program 4 times a year, and a 6-week individual treatment program 4 times a year Addresses the needs of an individual"s spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional health and well-being Assists individual to gain an understanding of how abuse, relationship dynamics, addictions, self-destructive behavior and family violence affects their life Supports individual to create healthy boundaries, address grief and losses, resentments, recognize denial, and change defensive behavior by identifying defence mechanismsProvides the following services and programs: Assessment and treatment planning Individual and group counselling Nutrition program Recreation program Health services Community education and resources Aftercare planning and follow-up

Youth Addictions

Provides compassion-based, emotionally-focused counselling for couples, individuals and families. Special training in the treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship betrayal, separation and divorce, grief, life transitions and addictions. Additional training in mindfulness and spiritual care, as requested by the client.

Youth Mental Health

Sakeenah Homes is a transitional home for Muslim women and children who may be facing violence, homelessness, financial or immigration issues. Our mission is to establish a network of sheltering projects which provide a safe and nurturing environment that they may be given equal opportunities to excel, grow, and thrive with respect and dignity.  Our objective is to work closely with our clients, either in our home or remotely, to provide a safe living environment while providing community support services through casework.  Our main services, among many others include 4 transitional homes in Ontario, Canada-wide casework and mental health services like counselling. We also have a compilation of resources for every community that offer legal, financial, housing, mental health, immigration and employment services. We continue to build this resource list by reaching out to people like you who are committed to helping women and children.
