* Dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT)
* Behaviour therapy
* Interpersonal psychotherapy
* Experiential therapy
We offer a unique approach by working within the foundation of the innovative treatment models of Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) and emotion coaching. We believe that difficulties with emotion regulation and reliance on emotional avoidance are at the root of many mental health issues and relationship difficulties. Therefore, we work with individuals and families to develop emotional competence and mastery, and integrate other skills and treatments as necessary.
Within this foundation we integrate evidenced based treatments, such as Maudsely based family therapy, cognitive- behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, interpersonal therapy, and experiential therapy as appropriate to best meet the specific needs of each individual and family. We offer individual, group, and family therapy, and parent consultations. We also provide workshops and lectures on emotional coaching and related topics.
We are highly specialized in the assessment and treatment of eating disorders, depression and other mood disorders, anxiety disorders, adjustment disorders, parenting and parent-child relationship problems, and identity and self-esteem issues.
Anchor Psychological Services also offers comprehensive assessment of learning disabilities, giftedness, ADHD, and other psycho-educational issues.
